Available items include: Sixteen MM projectors, Overhead projectors; Opaque projectors, Tape recorders; Slide projector; Headsets and Videocassette recorders. On special occasions the Media Center allows for schools to check out items for the entire school year. If member schools have technology repair needs, they can contact the Media Center or George Hefner personally. George Hefner can address repair needs, for software concerns, please contact our Technology Center.

Notify Media Center or Tech Center prior to George Hefner arrival dates. George has many stops and unless he has been notified of your needs, might not stop.
For the school year of 2007 - 2008 the Educational Service Unit 17 Media Center will continue to provide a lamination service to its member schools only. The lamination machine is twenty five inches in width and cost is one dollar per foot.
Laminating is also done by the Educational Service Unit 17 offices in Ainsworth.
We recommend the following tips:
Rollers are HOT! Thus, crayon melts
Please remove tape and staples
Identify ownership on all items
Thick materials might not seal well
The Educational Service Unit 17 Media Center provides a spiral binding service to member schools and community. Cost for binding is 10 cents per item and NO charge for Cherry County Rural schools (they provided the machine). Due to recent neglect to the binding machine, usage will be limited to Educational Service Unit 17 staff only!
Points to remember
Variety of binder sizes and colors are available
Standard page sizes work best
If books, please number pages
If to be laminated, please have lamination done first and cut flush to edges
The Educational Service Unit 17 Media Center provides a subject bibliography creation or search service to its member schools or community. All that is needed is the subject, grade level of interest and amount of titles desired. In turn, our staff will select specific titles, which might fulfill your needs.
The Educational Service Unit 17 Media Center has the necessary equipment for duplication of your copyrighted audio, DVD and video titles. The Educational Service Unit 17 Media Center follows closely the Copyright and Fair use Guidelines, as signed into law on November 2, 2002 by President Bush.
